Actually, the Waldoff Group brought to our attention many aspects of
closing a business that we would never even considered.
When
I first heard the idea of actually going to BUY merchandise for the
Going-Out-of-Business sale, I must admit I panicked! Acquiring goods
was not the direction I wanted to go! But via some very convincing
conversations and some formulaic number-crunching, Steve and I saw the
value in doing such a thing. Boy, are we glad we did it! The addition
of these in-season, deeply discounted goods to our existing inventory
was only translated into a big addition to our final sales figures!
Having
to close a business,for whatever reason, is a scary and humbling
experience. It is also for this reason that having someone to talk to,
who knows what to do and who is sensitive to the vulnerabilities one
feels during a time like this, is so essential. You very much were a
calming presence for Steve and me.
I know we did a
lot more business having hired you than we would have on our own. It
also really felt good to have someone kind of "take over" and tell us

first met Milton Waldoff a few years ago while working as a campaign
advisor and writer for a local political race. Milton was
